Iranian ‘A157’ awarded in Italy

Iranian documentary ‘A157’ has won the Best Documentary Award at the 20th Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Behrouz Nouranipour, the movie was awarded at the festival which concludes today October 22.

‘A157’ is a shocking documentary about the horrors of war and terrorism in Syria, particularly inflicted on women and children.

The documentary has participated in many international festivals and won many awards, including the Special Jury Award at the ninth edition of Iran’s 2015 Cinema Verite in Tehran and an honorary diploma at the full-length documentary section of International Shahid Avini Award.

The 20th edition of Religion Today Film Festival is organized from October 13 to 22 in Trento and other locations across Italy.
